This book is dedicated to “Inhabitants of Universe”. It is told about the planets of Solar system, about natural satellites, asteroids, meteors, meteorites and about other heavenly bodies. It is told also about a history of astronomy, about its founders, and also about observatories and astronomers, about artificial satellite of the Earth and about the first cosmonauts.
This cognitive book has been intended for youth and has the purpose to acquaint them with basic knowledge about a structure of space.
INTRODUCTION
Looking at the sky, we imagine ourselves flying in the space, jumping from star to star, from planet to planet, revolving round the Sun, as we are on a swing. We imagine ourselves in an empire of stars, which seems so small. It seems that everything is clear, the Sun shines in the afternoon, clouds are floating on the sky, stars spark at night, and the Moon appears. Can it be really so simple? Certainly. However, it is interesting, where do the stars and Moon fade in the afternoon, and whether they really go on rest, making the way for the Sun? If so, where do they sleep? Besides, why do some stars shine more brightly, the others are hardly visible on the sky, and why do the stars suddenly get away from the place and disappear falling down? Why do the stars flicker, and the light of the Moon and planets is even and looks like a light of lanterns? Why can the Sun warm us by its rays and produce light, and why do the Moon and the planets shine weaker than candle?
And, finally, can the space be really covered by our look, is there really nothing, except stars, the Moon and the Sun?
To understand all this and many-many other riddles of space, let's open this book.
THE CONCLUSION
Let’s now close our space book and hope that the obtained new knowledge will help us hereinafter to learn astronomy more deeply.
